Wander was a Brazilian band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, led by Luiz Wanderley and Sérgio Sampaio. Their music drew from the tropicalia movement, which mixed traditional Brazilian styles with psychedelic and rock influences. Their debut album came out in 1968, followed by others like 'Sábado' in 1970 and 'O Apanhador de Ciclos' in 1974.
Their song 'Na Areia da Praia' became one of their best-known tracks. Other songs in their catalog include 'Venha Viver,' 'Rap do Cassino Bangu,' and 'A Filha do Vizinho.' The band's lineup included Wagner Tiso on piano, Fernando Gama on bass, and Léo Batera on drums.
They kept recording despite that, and their music has remained part of the tropicalia conversation since then.
