Warahenege formed in 2006 in Ontario. Their name comes from a Native American word meaning "where the sun sets." They released their debut album "Awakening" in 2008, followed by "For the Moment" in 2012 and "Into the Light" in 2016.
Their song "For the Moment" became known as a love song about cherishing fleeting moments. In 2010, they faced some backlash after releasing a song called "Blood on Your Hands," which criticized violence.
The band's lineup included Emily Kahn on vocals, Matthew Hunter on guitar, Lucas James on drums, and Oliver Wright on bass. They were working on an album called "Echoes of Time" in 2020.
