Archive material and source history
Wax Taylor started as a French electronic duo in 2000, with Jean-Marc Price and Camille Ballon. Their first album, 'Que Sera,' came out in 2003 and got them noticed internationally. The title track from that record is one people still mention.
After their debut, they put out 'Hope & Sorrow' in 2004, which didn't land the same way. Ballon left in 2007, and Price kept going with different collaborators, including vocalist Celine Dijon and multi-instrumentalist Pierre-Marie Maulini. That lineup released 'Waiting for a Sign' in 2010.
Their sound has touches of trip-hop and downtempo, with songs like 'Seize the Day' and 'How I Feel' showing their moody, textured side. They've had a few albums since, including 'Echoes' in 2014 and 'The New Beginning' in 2017.
