WCG started as the World Cyber Games, an international esports tournament. In 2005, they moved into music by bringing together composer Rossana Tarnopolsky and lyricist Gary Stockdale to create something for the gaming community.
Their main contribution was "Beyond The Game," a theme song written for the tournament. The track became associated with the event and its players, serving as an anthem during competitions.
Beyond that single, WCG released a few albums between 2005 and 2012, including "Heroes of the World" and "Pulse." Their music was primarily heard at gaming events rather than through mainstream channels.
