Archive material and source history
WD Gringo formed in Santos in 1999, with Marcelo Fogaca on vocals, Fernando Gorgo and Ademir Lobo on guitars, Fabio "Cavalo" Rocha on bass, and Rafael "Bolão" Santos on drums. They released their debut album "Deixa a Vida Me Levar" in 2001, which included the song "nem tudo acaba bem." That track became their breakout single.
Gorgo left the band in 2004, and Lobo departed in 2008. The group continued with new members, eventually settling into a lineup that included Fogaca, Lobo (who returned), Rocha, Santos, and guitarist Fabio Costa. They put out five studio albums between 2001 and 2017, including "Por Debaixo do Céu" in 2005 and "Tormenta" in 2017.
Other songs like "Pra Ela" and "sem você aqui" also appear among their most popular tracks. Their sound drew from heavy rock and metal, but they kept a straightforward, guitar-driven approach.
