A Scottish indie rock group that's been making lean, melodic music since 2003.
For a sense of their sound, try 'This Is My House, This Is My Home' or 'Night Terror.' They're both straightforward, melodic indie rock songs that show what the band does well.
They've carved out a space in indie rock with songs that feel both urgent and lived-in. 'This Is My House, This Is My Home' is a good example of that, a driving, melodic track that doesn't overcomplicate things. They've kept at it for over twenty years, working mostly out of Scotland, which gives their catalog a certain consistency.
They formed in Edinburgh in 2003 and released their debut album 'These Four Walls' in 2009. After drummer Darren Lackie left in 2014, they brought in Suren de Saram and kept putting out records, from 'Unraveling' in 2016 to 'Enjoy the Silence' in 2022.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
