Wega formed in the late 1990s with Edu Falaschi on vocals, Marcelo Barbosa on guitar, Fernando Quesada on bass, and Ricardo Confessori on drums. Their debut album 'Infinita Força' came out in 1999, establishing them in Brazil's prog metal scene. Falaschi left the band in 2003 but returned in 2006.
Their song 'Eu preciso estar' became one of their most recognized tracks. Other songs like 'Antes do Fim do Mundo' and 'As Cinzas da Quarta-feira' show their range within progressive and metal styles.
