While God Builds

The man fights for a piece of land and money

He knocks down walls and bars of whoever stands before him

The people die of hunger, every minute one dies

A father, a son, a friend, will cease to exist

And what future will this suffering people have

When you see little food arrive. And still have to smile?

There are so many people hungry to eat bread

That for this it is necessary the people among themselves to fight

The night is difficult to sleep there in the favela

For shots are what you hear, and fear takes over

At any moment a bomb can fall

And so many people are going to die. Oh. Oh my God, what to do?

Every day is what is shown on television

Injustice, neglect, death and vice take over the nation

Rumors are running that all this will end

But while God builds man just wants to destroy

And what future will this suffering people have

When seeing little food arrive

And still have to smile

At any moment a bomb can fall

And so many people are going to die. Oh. Oh my God, what to do?
