Wendy Van Wanten is a Belgian singer who first appeared in 1982. Her song 'Patrick, Mon Chérie' became an immediate hit in Flanders, one of those pop tunes that just stuck around. She also recorded tracks like ''t Doet Er Echt Niet Toe' and '(Am I A) Woman In Love'.
She worked with other musicians at times, including Raymond van het Groenewoud and Luc Van Acker. Guitarist Peter Koelewijn and drummer Dirk Van Vaerenbergh were among the players who backed her up on stage.
