Wes Ventura fronts the rock band Pulsando Firme, which formed in 1998 with bassist Carlos Esquivel and drummer Pablo Rodriguez. The band's name comes from one of their songs, and they've put out six studio albums, starting with 'Alma Libre' in the early 2000s. Their sound pulls from rock and Latin rhythms, heard on tracks like 'Sem Dor' and 'Sujeito a Aprender'.
They kept playing through it, and by 2010 they'd added lead guitarist Juan Cruz Rodriguez to the lineup. Their later albums include 'Pulsando Firme' and 'Fuego Interior'.
Ventura grew up in Buenos Aires listening to bands like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, which shaped his approach to rock music. The band's catalog also includes songs like 'Thoughts' and 'Your Call', which show their range beyond just the harder-edged material.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
