Weste formed in Alicante, Spain in 1997 with Ismael Serrano on vocals and guitar, Raúl Fernández on guitar, Nacho Sánchez on bass, and Pablo García on drums. They put out their first album, "Más Que Música," in 2000. Their third album, "Siete," came out in 2004 and included the song "Crisantemo."
Serrano left the band in 2008. The group continued without him, releasing albums like "Viento Sur" in 2010, "Caminando Entre Espejos" in 2013, and "El Tiempo Que Nos Queda" in 2017. Other members who played with Weste over time included Alberto Iniesta, Fran Meneses, and Santi Fernández.
