Wester

Wester is an indie rock band from Los Angeles with Billy Dunivant on vocals and guitar, Kevin Fisher on bass and vocals, and Aaron Stern on drums. They put out their first album, The Distance, in 2015, followed by Echoes in 2017 and Ashes in 2020. Songs like A Fool's Errand and Six Chamber Romance show their lean toward earnest, guitar-driven rock with a lyrical focus on personal themes.

In 2018, the band dealt with plagiarism accusations over their song The Light, which were later dismissed. They've played festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, and tracks such as Martyrs If We're Lucky and Again I've Written Tragedy have become part of their setlists. Their music doesn't chase trends so much as stick to a straightforward, emotive rock sound that connects with a dedicated audience.
