Wheat is a Canadian indie folk band that formed in the early 2000s. Their 2005 debut album 'Roots' included the song 'Don't I Hold You,' which became a radio hit. The band's lineup featured Shawn Mendes on vocals and guitar, Paul Meany on drums, and Michael Run on bass.
They released two more albums, 'Shadows' in 2010 and 'Echoes' in 2015. Other songs in their catalog include 'Go Get the Cops' and 'Roll the Road.' In 2013, Wheat dealt with a legal dispute over their band name, which they were able to resolve.
