White Heat formed in the early 2000s when Emily Grant, Jake Carter, and Ethan James started playing together. Their debut album 'Cross Country Feelin'' came out in 2005, with the title track becoming a radio hit that caught some attention for its road-trip feel.
They put out a second album called 'Wide Open Spaces' in 2009, which included the track 'Heartland Highway.' The drummer David Mason left the band in 2007.
