Dust We Are

Memento homo quia

Pulvis es et in pulverem reverteris

When the night is falling down on the souls

Of men fighting for their rights

And there are innocent children enslaved

By the mad

But still remain ludicrous temples and statues

Remnants of ancient folly and pain

And their religions as hard as the stone

In their shrines

But men forgot that even stones

Will turn to sand (in the end)

And men forgot that their beliefs

Will vanish like dust (in the wind)

But still they believe there's a God to listen

To our prayers and our tears

Dust we are, as dust we fall

Slaves to the will of the capricious winds

Duste we are, as dust we fall

Sooner or later we're cast away

When the fools think they detain the truth

And cast anathemas to each other

Waging their wars in the name of the love

They denied

LOok at their crosses and crescents and stars

Childish symbols of faith and of pride

Covering the walls of our homes and our hearts

Deaf and blind

But in the end nothing will remain

Of us nor them (in this earth)

Nature will take it all, the stars

Will follow their path (ignoring us)

Our flesh and our bones, our pride and our plots

Will vanish in the wind
