Will Kholen started as a project between childhood friends William Kholen and Henrique Cesar in the early 2000s, playing local clubs around Brazil. Their 2015 song "Acho Que Estou Apaixonado" became their breakthrough track, connecting with listeners through its straightforward take on romantic uncertainty.
Their debut album "Quero Ver o Sol" leaned into acoustic arrangements and personal songwriting. Later records like "Acústico" and "Passeio pelo Universo" brought in more electronic textures while keeping their focus on everyday themes. Other songs in their catalog include "Crianças Abandonadas" and "Onde está seu amor."
The band's lineup settled with William Kholen on vocals and guitar, Henrique Cesar on drums, Pedro Faria on bass, and Bruno Bonfim on keyboards. They faced some public scrutiny around 2017 over plagiarism claims, but kept recording and playing shows afterward.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
