Archive material and source history
Will Kings Music formed in 2010 in Salvador, Bahia, with Will King on vocals and guitar, Luana Andrade on backing vocals and percussion, Felipe Souza on bass, and Ivan Ferreira on drums. They released their debut album in 2013, also called 'Amor Louco,' which featured the song of the same name.
That song 'Amor Louco' became their breakout track, with a melody that caught on widely in Brazil. In 2015, there were some plagiarism accusations about parts of that song, which the band denied, saying any similarities were coincidental. The attention didn't stop their momentum.
They've put out two more albums since then: 'Mais Que Amor' in 2016 and 'Alma Boêmia' in 2019. Their sound pulls from samba, pop, and rock, and they've played to full houses in Brazil and abroad.
