White Rose

We all turned home, so sad and forlorn

Home was so empty and so all alone

We're thinking of mother in her lonely grave

All be brought back was this rose from her grave(often also breast)

In the old family bible, this flower is pressed

In the old family graveyard our mother's at rest

We'll keep as a token, of the love that she gave

This beautiful white rose I took from her grave (or breast)

We miss our darling, our mother so dear

And all of her prayers, that we used to hear
