W.O. formed in 1994 around vocalist Sílvia Patricia and keyboardist Fábio Nestares. Their 1995 single "Só Você Sabe" became a major hit in Brazil, written by Patricia with music by Nestares. The song's straightforward ballad style connected with listeners and defined the band's early sound.
After the success of "Só Você Sabe," W.O. released several albums including "Deve Ser Amor" in 1997, "A Vida É Mais" in 2000, "Alma" in 2003, and "Essencial" in 2007. Patricia left the band in 2005, and the group continued without her before disbanding in 2010.
W.O. reunited in 2020 with a new vocalist, Maria Luiza, and released the single "Vem Dançar." They performed on a national tour that year.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
