Wolfblood formed in the early 2000s with Eliot Osborn on vocals and guitar, Sam Parsons on bass, and Matt Giles on drums. They put out a self-titled EP in 2005, then their first album, The Blackwolf Ritual, came out in 2008. That record got some attention for mixing heavy riffs with melodic touches.
They followed it with The Rising in 2011 and The Shadow of the Wolf in 2014. The song A Promise That I Keep, from The Rising, became a fan favorite. In 2013, guitarist Paul Johnson left and was replaced by Rob Singh. A few years later, in 2017, they had a legal dispute with a former label that they eventually resolved.
Wolfblood kept putting out albums, including The Legacy in 2018 and The Bloodline in 2022. Their earlier EP The Prophecy came out in 2007.
