It must have been what people said

That made me play her game

Said she was in love with me

I hardly knew her name

But I was young and foolish then

Believed I felt the same

But suddenly I realized

She's asking for something more

For what I didn't know

She said: Show your love and I'll be yours

(That was her only lie)

She said: Prove your love or I will go

(Was I supposed to cry?)

Began to feel insecure

I searched for alibies

Fear was washing over me

I dared not to meet her eyes

Was she really fancy me

Or did she just tell lies

So finally I asked myself

For how long will this go on?

I couldn't tell right from wrong
