World of Oz was a Los Angeles rock band active in the 1970s. Their song 'King Croesus' appeared on their 1977 debut album. The track got some radio play at the time.
Their music drew from hard rock and progressive styles. They released a few more albums after their debut, including 'Knights of the World' in 1978 and 'Leave the Kids Alone' in 1980.
After the band ended, some members found work elsewhere. Joey Tempest later sang for the Swedish rock group Europe. Max Martin went on to write and produce pop songs for other artists.
