Wxz formed in the early 1990s around Warren Defever, with David Harrow, Adam Mobley, and Laura Calvert also involved at different points. Their first album was called 'Waterfalling,' and they followed it with releases like 'The Brown Album' and 'Boredoms.'

Their track 'Relex Relaxa' became something of an anthem for them, and 'Vem Me Amar' is another song people know. The music tended to blend ambient textures with more rhythmic electronic elements.
