Archive material and source history

X-One formed in 1987 in Scotland with Kenny McCluskey on vocals and guitar, Tommy Cunningham on bass, and Alan McGhee on drums. They put out their first album, 'Here We Are,' in 1988, and followed it with 'The Big Picture' the next year. That second album had 'Wet Wet Wet' on it, which became a hit.

McCluskey left the band in 1990. They kept going with different people and put out a couple more albums, '101' in 1992 and 'Looking into the Sun' in 1994, before calling it quits in 1995. They got back together for some shows in 2006.
