X Parade formed in São Paulo in 2014, started by childhood friends Thiago Thomé, Bernardo Milani, and Guilherme Silva. They put out their second album 'Por Você, Por Nós' in 2017, and its lead single 'Foi Você Quem Destruiu Minha Vida' got some attention for its direct lyrics about heartbreak.
In 2018, the band had a public disagreement with another Brazilian group that brought some unwanted attention. They kept working, adding drummer Pedro Alfano in 2021. Their later albums 'Quando Tudo Acabar' and 'Nosso Fim Chegou' showed a shift toward more reflective material, though songs like 'Já Está Tarde' and 'Não Desistirei de Você' kept the emotional pull of their earlier work.
