Xamados por Deus formed in Brazil in 2005, with Samuel Santana on vocals, Andre Luiz on guitar, Mauricio Andrade on bass, and Rodrigo Rocha on drums. Their debut album 'Chamado' came out in 2007. The band's 2009 album 'Viver Sem Você' included a song of the same name that drew criticism from some religious groups, who felt it promoted extramarital relationships. The band saw it as a message of hope and redemption, and it became one of their most popular tracks.
Over time, the lineup shifted, with Fabio Cesar eventually taking over on drums. They put out albums like 'Resgate' in 2012 and 'Milagres' in 2015. Their music has worked with artists including Aline Barros, Fernandinho, and Juliano Son.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
