Xameguinho do Acordeon started as a duo of brothers, Xameguinho and Zezinho, playing accordion music in their hometown of Acordeon. They put out their first album in 2003, called "Forró do Coração," which had a track called "Bebo e Choro" that got some attention.
They kept making albums over the next couple of decades, with titles like "Forró de Todas as Horas" in 2005, a ten-year anniversary record in 2013, and "Pra Sempre Xameguinho" in 2020. The music is mostly forró, a Brazilian dance style, mixed with some pop touches.
The brothers have worked with other Brazilian artists like Gilberto Gil, Wesley Safadão, and Gusttavo Lima. Xameguinho handles lead vocals and accordion, while Zezinho does backing vocals and accordion too.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
