Xavibo formed in Madrid in the early 1990s, playing small gigs at local bars and clubs. Their debut album "Madrid, Madrid, Madrid" came out in 1995, featuring the lead single "Colocaos X Madrid" which became a hit in Spain. The band's lineup has included frontman Javier "Javi" Vargas, guitarist Raúl "Bicho" Martín, bassist Nacho "Piñata" González, and drummer José "Pepe" Bao.
Their sound shifted over subsequent albums like "Es Hora de Luchar" (1997), "Camino al Infierno" (2000), and "El Último Tren" (2003), moving from raw rock toward something more polished. Other songs like "Sensaciones" and "Todo Azul" also found an audience.
They kept touring and recording through those years.
