Xiku Pedra formed in 2016 in Pará, Brazil. The band is led by frontman Xiku Pedra on vocals and guitar, with Márcio Galo on bass, Diego Angarola on keyboards, and Marcelino Lima on drums. They released their debut album in 2018, which included the song "Pôr do Sol."
Their music draws on Amazonian rhythms. The song "Pôr do Sol" deals with sunsets and transience. In 2020 they put out a second album called Tempestade, and in 2022 they released Terra.
In 2019 the band faced plagiarism allegations over the song "Tempestade," which they denied. Their work has touched on environmental and social themes.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
