Xockito formed in the early 1990s in Salvador, Brazil, with four members: André Swize on vocals, Léo Santana on drums, Lucas Damata on bass, and Robert Fonte on guitar and keyboards. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2000, which included the song 'Sorriso Ecantador.' That track became a hit on Brazilian radio, especially during the summer.
In 2002, lead singer André Swize was injured in a car accident, which led the band to cancel a planned tour. Their lyrics sometimes addressed social issues and drew criticism. Xockito released five studio albums between 2000 and 2007, including 'Sorriso Ecantador' in 2001 and 'Tudo Que Você Quiser' in 2003.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
