Xoxomyah is an electronic duo made up of Sarah Quintero and Derek Wise. They put out their first single "Let Me Down Slowly" in 2019. Quintero handles vocals while Wise works on the production, and together they create a sound that leans atmospheric and emotive.
Their debut EP was called "The Way We Dream." They followed it with other releases like "The Reckoning" and "Lost in the Murmur," which brought in touches of folk and ambient music alongside their electronic foundation. Songs like "Moio" and "Circus Freak" show that range.
Early on, the duo faced criticism for how they used Native American imagery in some music videos. They apologized and said they wanted to do better with that kind of representation moving forward.
"Let Me Down Slowly" became their most recognized track. It's a down-tempo, synth-heavy song about heartbreak that connected with a lot of listeners online.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
