Editor's note

Xtreme, the Argentine rock band from Río Cuarto

Formed in 1995, they became known for hits like 'A Donde Se Fue' and released seven albums through 2014.

For a sense of their sound, 'A Donde Se Fue' is the obvious start. 'Ay Amor' holds up as a solid later cut.

Their debut single 'A Donde Se Fue' broke across Argentina and neighboring countries, giving them an immediate foothold. Songs like 'Ay Amor' and 'Amor Destrozado' kept them on radio for years. They were one of those bands that just stuck around, even as members came and went.

They started in 1995 with 'Guitarras Blancas' the next year. The original lineup included Guillermo Bonetto on vocals and Gustavo Cerati on guitar before he left in 2002. They kept recording through 2014's 'Te Quiero' album, with shifts in personnel along the way.
