Yalın is a Turkish singer-songwriter who started releasing music in the early 2000s. His debut album 'Ellerine Sağlık' came out in 2004, and he signed with Sony Music Turkey around that time. He was born in Istanbul in 1979.
His third album, 'Bir Bakmışsın' from 2007, included the song 'Aşk Ne Demek' which became widely popular in Turkey. That track, along with others like 'Aşkta Telafi Olmaz' and 'Ben Bilmem', helped define his sound of straightforward pop with emotional lyrics.
He has worked with other Turkish artists including Sıla and Harun Kolçak. Later albums like 'Sessizliğin Dili' and 'Herkes Aynı Hayatta' followed through the 2010s. He typically performs with a band that has included musicians such as Erkan Ozan on bass.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
