Yamashita Tatsuro

Yamashita Tatsuro started releasing music in the mid-1970s, with his debut album 'Circus Town' coming out in 1975. He found wider recognition a few years later with his 1980 album 'Ride On Time,' which included the title track that became one of his most recognizable songs.

His work includes songs like 'Morning Glory,' 'Magic Ways,' and 'Toki Yo.' These tracks show his interest in blending pop with R&B and jazz influences, though he's primarily known as a Japanese pop artist. He's recorded over twenty studio albums.

Tatsuro has worked with various musicians throughout his career, including guitarist Kazuhiko Kato and keyboardist Tetsuya Komuro. While he faced some personal challenges in the 1980s, his music continued to find an audience in Japan.
