Yamse is a Paris-based electro-pop duo that started making music around 2015. They're vocalist Alizée Lesage and producer Jean-François Régis, and they built an early following playing small venues in the city.
Their track "Vodka" came out in 2017 and became their breakout single. It's built around a hypnotic rhythm and Lesage's airy vocals, and it helped move them from local shows to festival stages.
They've released a few other records since then, including 2019's Requiem and 2021's L'Ombre. Their sound pulls from synthwave and gothic rock, and they tend to keep a low profile outside of their music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
