Yan Block is a Brazilian duo made up of Yan Collaço and André Sarate. They started working together around 2010, with Collaço handling bass and production while Sarate took on vocals and songwriting.
Their track "Cruel" with DJ Nelson came out in 2012 and became their breakout hit. It's the song most people know them by, though they've also released "La Mía" with Marcianeke.
In 2016, Collaço was treated for cancer and later returned to performing. The duo has also been vocal about social justice and LGBTQ+ rights, which has drawn attention alongside their music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
