Yansol is a Brazilian duo from Rio de Janeiro formed in the early 1990s by singer-songwriter Yan Marczewski and guitarist Antone Fávaro. Their debut album 'Planet of the Giants' came out in 1996, mixing Brazilian folk with ambient and electronic touches.
In 1997, their track 'Lua' gained international attention. The song's spare, haunting melody and introspective feel connected with listeners beyond Brazil, and the album of the same name became their most recognized work.
