Yarabi formed in Istanbul in 2007, led by vocalist and songwriter Ediz İlhan with multi-instrumentalist Erdem Sökmen on guitar. Their debut album 'Yarabi' came out the following year, and they've continued releasing music through at least 2019's 'Aşkın Elest.'
Yarabi's sound tends toward atmospheric arrangements with İlhan's vocals carrying introspective lyrics over Sökmen's guitar work. They've maintained a fairly consistent approach across their recordings rather than dramatically shifting styles.
