Yared Mendoza came up in Los Angeles, where he started writing songs on guitar and piano. His debut single "7/10" came out in 2018 and caught on with listeners, landing on charts and getting some attention from critics. The song has a spare, moody feel with lyrics about unrequited love.
He said he wanted to use his platform to talk about mental health after that. He put out his first album, "Limbo," in 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
