Yashyo is a South Korean group that formed with four members: Yejin on lead vocals and lyrics, Yuna handling lead dance and vocals, Soyeon as main rapper and vocalist, and Yuri as lead vocalist and the youngest member. They released their debut single "Yashyo" in 2020, which gave the group its name.
Their 2021 EP Everlasting explored themes of love and self-discovery, followed by the 2022 album Encore, which received attention for its musical complexity.
Yejin has spoken publicly about dealing with anxiety and depression, which has at times affected the band's schedule. The group has also faced online harassment and earlier plagiarism accusations, which they denied.
