Yaulim Braz formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2003 with Pedro Braz on vocals, Marcelo Bernardes on guitar, Alexandre Maroto on bass, and Raphael Moreira on percussion. They released their first album in 2005, which included the song 'Yaulim Braz Pedro Chorou.'
That song became their breakthrough, leading to festival appearances around Brazil. They put out more albums like 'Nosso Samba' in 2008 and 'Lágrima' in 2011.
They've worked with artists including Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Marisa Monte. Pedro Braz's voice gives their songs their emotional weight, while Marcelo Bernardes handles guitar.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
