Yawdel formed in Barcelona, with vocalist Laurent John as part of the collective. They worked through early financial constraints by playing live shows and spending time in the studio.
In 2019, they released "Can't Escape (feat. Laurent John)," which brought them wider attention. The track's rhythm and lyrics connected with listeners, though it also drew plagiarism accusations that the band denied.
After that, Yawdel put out songs like "Lost in Time" and "Take Me Away," and later released a debut album called "Echoes of the Night." Their sound began to incorporate more hip-hop, soulful melodies, and synth textures.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
