YB formed in Seoul in 2013 with Young K on vocals and bass, Yonghoon on vocals and guitar, and Seungjun on drums. Their debut single was called "Stay." They put out their first album, The First, in 2014.
Their second album, The Book of Us: Entropy, came out in 2019 and was followed by The Book of Us: The Demon in 2020. The song "Silence" was the lead single from Entropy.
Yonghoon later took time away from the band for mandatory military service.
