Ycare, the French singer with fragile animals and legal battles

Julien Bonneau's stage name became known for duets and early open mics in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux.

For a sense of him, 'Animaux Fragiles' with Zaz is the obvious one. But 'Bang Bang' has its own pull.

That 2013 album 'Lumière Noire' gave us 'Animaux Fragiles,' the duet with Zaz that got around. He's got songs like 'Bang Bang' and 'Relax, Take It Easy' in the catalog too. The legal dispute with his label in 2015 was a real turning point.

He started playing solo at local open mics in the early 2000s. The debut EP 'La Promesse' came in 2008, then 'Lumière Noire' five years later. After the label dispute, he kept going.
