Years & Co came together in Los Angeles, with Micah Gordon, Andrew Dost, and Jesse Nolan at the center. Their first album, simply called 'Years,' came out in 2011. They followed it with 'Bloom' in 2013 and 'Sleepless' in 2017.
What got them noticed was a track called 'Forget You (feat. Pryvt Ryn).' It's the song people tend to remember, with Gordon's voice moving between a light falsetto and something more grounded. The sound pulls from R&B and pop without settling neatly into either.
They worked as a collective, with Dost handling a lot of the harmonies and melodies while Nolan anchored the rhythm. Their music didn't follow a straight genre line, which drew some early skepticism, but it also built them a dedicated following. They kept at it, putting out records every few years through the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
