Warm Jets

All of the gauges point to hope but slowly fade away

Even the most elaborate plan couldn't save us now

On this the day we dance to find repair

It's out last bright sign

We blind the flame but still the fire burns as we dive to earth

Heart slow, heads in hand

I never knew we'd have to fall so far

It's the means that makes the end

Burn down, build it up

I never want to make the fire start

Curse the hand that hurts

Burn down, my warm jets

This is my plane, this is my role

Have to go, pass it on

I know my fate lies in this machine

The lines are traces on sky in smoke alone as they fade away

In time you hear the cheers on the parade
