Yehuda Glanz grew up in Jerusalem, where he heard Hassidic and Sephardic melodies around him. He started performing with friends at weddings and community events when he was a teenager. In 2006, that group began using his name.
His 2012 song "Adon Olam" is one of his better-known recordings. Some listeners have questioned his use of Western sounds alongside traditional Jewish music, but he has kept making it anyway.
Glanz has worked with other musicians like Matisyahu and Shlomo Carlebach. He put out albums in 2015 and 2018 as well.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
