Yellow Cup formed in 2008 with Gabriel Almeida on vocals and guitar, Cauê Albuquerque on bass, and Rodrigo Souza on drums. They started playing small venues around Brazil. Their debut album 'Oração Noturna' came out in 2010, mixing pop, rock, and folk elements.
Souza left the band in 2013, and João Pedro joined as drummer. Around that time, their song 'Conselhos Não' from 2014 sparked some debate about its take on relationships. The band followed with 'Origami' in 2015, which included the title track and showed a shift toward more experimental material. Songs like 'Daqui a 10 anos' and 'Dentro' are among their better-known work.
