Yellow Zebra formed in 2005 as a quartet with Kenichiro Nishi on vocals and guitar, Yuki Okubo on bass, Yuta Nakamura on drums, and Hidenori Tanaka on keyboards. Their debut single "Ima" came out the following year. In 2007, Tanaka left the band and was replaced by keyboardist Naoto Horiuchi.
In 2009, they released "Koi no Flame" ("Flame of Love"), which became their breakout single. The song's popularity grew quickly, though some listeners felt the band's sound had become more commercial. Yellow Zebra continued releasing albums like "Perfect World" in 2010 and "Colors" in 2012.
The current lineup still features Nishi, Okubo, Nakamura, and Horiuchi.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
