YellowStraps formed in London in 2013 with a lineup that included Amelia Clarke on vocals, Ethan James on guitar, Oliver Jones on bass, Max Wilson on drums, and Sarah Martin on keyboards. They played live shows while dealing with financial constraints early on.
In 2018, their debut album 'Reverie' brought them wider attention, particularly through the single 'Rose.' The song's lyrics and melody connected with listeners and appeared on the Billboard Hot 100.
Bassist Oliver Jones left the band in 2020, and Emily Taylor joined on bass. They later released a second album called 'Ashes to Phoenix.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
